New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson welcomed their newborn baby girl on Wednesday,16th December on social media platforms.

He shared a photo on social media captioning: “overjoyed to welcome a baby girl into our family”. The Kiwi player was holding her baby girl in the photo.

Kane Williamson took paternity leave for the birth of his child as a result couldn’t participate in the 2nd test match against West Indies at Wellington, which started on 11th December. New Zealand coach Gary Stead also didn’t hesitate to reveal this. Kane was in Tauranga for the birth of their first child.

Kane Williamson ‘s wife Sarah Raheem is a nurse by occupation. She has graduated from Bristol University, United Kingdom. They started dating when Kane went to the hospital for a checkup & started liking each other. And today Kane Williamson welcomed their newborn baby girl.

Wicket-keeper batsman Tom Latham led the side to a victory against the West Indies in the penury of Williamson.

The world’s no 3 Test batsman registered his career-best 251 against West Indies in the first test and his team ended up winning the match. Kane has also jumped to the 3rd spot in the ICC Test ranking after his sensational innings. He will be returning to the field in the T20 series against Pakistan.

Indian opener and ex Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate of Kane congratulated him saying: “Congratulations and lots of love to you and your family”.

Ex Kiwi coach and RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) director of cricket also congratulated him mentioning: “Congratulations Sarah and Kane, delighted for you both,……exciting times ahead”.
