New Zealand fast bowler Tim Southee became the 3rd kiwi bowler to take 300 test wickets. He reached the milestone in his 76th test match against Pakistan at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on Tuesday, December 29th.

Southee first removed opener Shan Masood in the 2nd innings of the 1st test match and then Haris Shoail became his 300th victim.

The other New Zealand bowlers to take 300 wickets are Richard Headey and Daniel Vettori. Headley had grabbed 431 wickets in 86 test matches and Daniel Vettori had 362 scalps in 113 test matches.

Tim Southee has taken 11 fifers & 17 4-for in test cricket so far.

New Zealand has set 373 runs target for Pakistan. Pakistan right now batting on 71 with the loss of 3 wickets. New Zealand is likely looking forward to taking a lead in the series. They have clearly hammered Pakistan in every aspect of the game.

So far Kane Williamson has scored the most number of runs in the match (150) and Tim Southee has bagged the most number of wickets (4). Pakistan is in deep trouble. They have two options either to bat the whole day on day 5 to tie or play aggressive cricket to win, which is next to impossible.
